Fantasy: The Beginning of the End

Works

Synopsis: Long ago, the world of Fantasy was torn apart by a ravaging war. The nations splintered after the bloody conflict, leading to centuries more of long-lasting hatreds and the building of walls both physical and unseen between Fantasy's people. Despite the years gone by, the wounds of the past threaten to tear open once more as old evils and new threats rise. In the midst of quickening strife, two young men named Blaise Thiessen and Darius O'Neil depart from their homeland on a quest none expect them to succeed in--or even survive. Along the way, they must confront prejudices long stoked, uncover plots deeply hidden, and open gates which have not opened in centuries.

Fantasy: The Beginning of the End is a tale of camaraderie, perseverance, and believing in oneself in an uncaring, brutal world. This story of discovery follows the paths of two unlikely heroes as they rise above the expectations of others and create their own legend.

Quotes

No more did the orbs of night and day ascend their celestial thrones, for we erected mighty towers to assault their sovereignty. We raped the land of its bounties and called it progress. We leveled thousand-year-old forests and gave it the name of structure. We broke the land as one breaks bread and declared it civilization.

For all the honor and prestige afforded us in success, I would honestly have rather spent the remainder of my days walking the shadowed mists knowing I was doing some good. But after all the dedicated, painful, inspiring, and ordinary years of our lives, there was only one action I could take.

I took one last, wistful look at the city which never loved me and followed my companion on the road to nowhere.

Walls can do many things. They can protect those inside, and they keep the bad parts of the world out. On the other hand, they can also keep people apart.

Bio

IMG_0215.jpg

I am from the state of Mississippi in the southeastern United States. I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in December of 2015, and since then have taken to teaching English and German in high school. I have a great passion for reading, writing, and language in the classroom--which translates well into my novels, as well!

I self-published my first book, Rogue, under the pseudonym Felix Blazius Bandercoot in 2010, right before I graduated high school. Since then, I have further worked to enhance my writing capabilities and hone my craft in writing quality literary works. That being said, I also have loads of fun creating entire new worlds, cultures, histories, and getting to share these new realms with readers like you. I enjoy exploring the lives of my characters--watching them grow, laugh, love. I weep when they sob, and treasure their accomplishments. I hope you also get to witness, feel, and live the lives of these characters I not so much created, but discovered help come to existence through the crucible of a book.
